The Manukau Magpies are a proud rugby league club based in South Auckland. Founded in 1962, we field teams from juniors through to seniors and are always looking for new players and supporters.

A hard-fought win at Mountfort Park sees us move to 4-1 for the season. Jake Williams kicked 3 from 4 and controlled the game from halfback. The Rovers came back strong in the second half, levelling at 18-all before Rawiri Jones crashed over in the 72nd minute to seal a dramatic finish. Great effort from the whole squad. Next week we travel to Birkenhead to face the Tigers. Let's get another W on the road.

The Manukau Magpies are thrilled to announce the launch of our Women's Premier team for 2026. Head coach Aroha Nikora will lead the squad in the Auckland Women's Rugby League competition. We have 15 players registered already with more expected to sign on at pre-season. Training is Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Mountfort Park from 6pm. New players of all experience levels are welcome — come down and be part of something special. Contact the club through our page for more info.

An electric fullback with a nose for the tryline. Tane has been with the Magpies since 2022 and is one of our most dangerous attacking weapons. Quick feet, safe hands, and consistently one of our top try-scorers each season.
